Great classical texts are treasures of national culture, by researching and reading which we can inheritance the Chinese culture, as well as improve our personal accomplishment. Many classical texts have been included in the senior school Chinese text books, while because of various kinds of reasons, the teaching effects are not as good as expected, but trapped in "low effects, superior language inferior texts, and tired students". In September 2009, a new teaching reform was raised in education of Hubei province. And then a new "standards for the Chinese courses" in the senior school was put forward. The new course reform proposes "all roundly improving the students' Chinese accomplishment", "attaching importance to training their ability on using, appreciating and researching Chinese", and "constructing open and orderly Chinese courses", which are to deepen into the teaching procedures of the classical texts in the senior school, and improve the teaching effects of classical texts. According to the requirements of new course standards on classical texts teaching and the personal teaching practice of the author, the paper raises four methods of improving the teaching effects of classical texts, which is practical.
