Whether the university graduates could find their first job is not the only trouble they have to face, but also whether they could get to success after years by changing their jobs in the vocational development. This involves the concept of career decision making. It is the result of the career decision that people can success. I chose career decision making self-efficacy as the topic of the study after literature study and comprehensive analysis, and the graduates starting a new job within 3 years as the subjects. This is based on the following reasons:1)the graduates starting their career life face more new realistic and complicated problems;2) little studies focus on them;3) as a explorative study, the issue on career decision making self-efficacy is more meaningful generally. This thesis takes a view of career decision making, collecting basic information of 100 university students and 68 university graduates within 3 years, and the test result of Career Decision-making Self-efficacy Scale, and comparing the difference between the two groups and between each dimension of the career decision making self-efficacy. To explore more protective factors, the author interview 6 subjects in different levels on career decision making self-efficacy who had made the career decision, and integrate the quality and quantity research, the paper can draw the conclusions as below:(1) The career decision making self-efficacy of the young professionals has decreased significantly compared to the university students in various dimensions;(2) Work experience, such as the year of working, job duration, and the times of professional conversions will influence the career decision making self-efficacy, as people will continue to think about their capabilities, interests in occupational settings, once this process started, it will get career decision making self-efficacy down.(3) Individual job satisfaction significantly affect career decision making self-efficacy, because it will make person doubt that if he or she made the right decision, which could impact on career decision making self-efficacy heavily;(4) Whether career awareness appears earlier or later decides the degree of the career decision making self-efficacy, because it is easy to establish unrealistic career decision self-efficacy for some students, career awareness can help individuals set up career decisions self-efficacy according with realistic.
