| In modern society, every person must face the problem of survival and competition, and money is a tool that people must use in life. Money management has already become the component of viability. Financial education is also become more and more important. In developed countries, financial education for preschool children has been paid enough attention.But in domestic, it is not optimistic.There is also few studies in this area. In this study, the researchers investigated the present situation of preschool children financial education, and reveals some issues about it, then raise people's attention.This study used the self-designed questionnaire of financial education as the tool. According to the level of economic development in Henan Province, conducted with stratified random sampling, parents and teachers in Zhengzhou,Hebi, Kaifeng was ultimately selected as the respondents. Questionnaires were distributed to 900 parents, and 120 teachers.Based on the interviews with some parents and teachers, the study investigated and analyzed the situation of young children's financial education,the problems and influencing factors by a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods,and also put forward proposals for reference.The results showed that:1. On the young children's financial education, Parents remain more in a rational state, few put into practice.2.Some simple financial literacy that children should know was not teached enough to child by parents.3.Most parents'teaching method is single choosing the daily life as the main educational approach.4. The majority of kindergarden teachers have recognized the importance of children financial education, but teacher expressed little concern about it.5.In the kindergartens' daily teaching activities, there is very little education about money.From the interviews, the researcher analyzed influencing factors of children financial education as following points. Family factors:1. Parents'education concepts are erroneous.2. Family upbringing patterns are inappropriate. The kindergarten factors:1. Kindergarten directors' concern on the financial education is insufficient; 2. The contents about financial education in the curricula is lacking;3. Teachers lack the teachering guidance on financial education.In addition, the communication and cooperation between family and kindergarten is inadequacy.Base on the analysis of the influencing factors, the researcher put up with the following suggestions.For the families:1. Parents should establish correct education conception and attach importance to children's financial education.2. Parents should use the proper education patterns, which allows children to form the initial financing concept and rational consumption habits.For the Kindergartens:1. The leadership in kindergardens should pay more attention to children's financial education.2. Financial education curriculum should be appropriately increased.3. Kindergartens can provide training of financial management for teachers.And, Families and kindergartens should enhance communication to reach a consensus on the issue of financial education for children. |
