"To improve timelessness in the teaching of reading" is an epoch proposition. The solution of the problem must be based on students who become the centre of teaching. Under the general principle of self-study and under the guidance of the basic ideas in《New Curriculum》, I combined with the teaching practice, going deep into the reading regulation and think it is the correct direction to develop students to read independently for Chinese reading teaching in senior high school, and it is the fundamental way of reading teaching reform.Unfortunately students'independent reading situation, reading concepts and requirements that new curriculum advocates are far different from each other. Although the theory of independent reading and practice research also unceasingly consummate and practical study deepen unceasingly, results from researchers lack pertinence because researchers focus more on the construction of theory system and teaching results from practitioners lack applicability because they look down upon study of theory. How to train students' independent reading ability efficiently, the majority of front-lines teachers are still at a loss. Therefore, independent reading research field should continue to be explored and systematized in space.under the background of the new curriculum reform and on the basis of theory and practice about independent learning both at home and abroad, this paper is supported by practice in Chinese teaching of senior high school and try to explore how teachers how to guide effectively independent reading according to the actual condition of high school students to improve the students'reading ability. Combining with teaching materials, this paper tries to make it specific and easy to carry out and try to promote the smooth implementation of the new curriculum reform.This research discusses mainly from the following aspects:Part one:Analyze the problems and the present research on the dependent reading in senior high school Chinese teaching, think to find some problems that exist through reading teaching, some factors that influence students' reading, and expounds the urgency of the independent reading and present the thesis of this paper.Part two:Explore the theory of Chinese reading teaching in senior high school, analyze the value of independent reading, clear objectives, principles, research content and research ways to implement.Part three:Direct and implement independent reading teaching in high school, show the results from combination of theory and practice. Try to solve the problems on how to guide independent reading guidance, and explore the ways of independent reading practice operation.Part 4:Reflect gains and losses in the implementation of independent reading teaching, and prospect the road ahead about independent reading teaching.
