The Study On Minority College Students Political Participation During China's Social Transformation Period

Political participation is the political action about government decision-making activities, aiming at affecting social resources and interests distribution. Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committe of Chinese Communists is the sign that resemble the great historical turning point, the economic base and superstructure have undergone a comprehensive and profound changes, that is what is mentioned in the paper about social transformation. With the gradual development of socialist political democracy, reform and modernization are going steadily, people's political requirements are gradually increasing. Political participation of minority students is an important part of multi-ethnic democracy, also to maintain multi-ethnic unity, to promote multi-ethnic nation development. With the development of our society, the manner and features of political participation of minority students are constantly changing and developing, also encountered some new problems, which are worthy of study. In general, the sense of political participation of college students during this social transformation is gradually enhanced, with the correct attitude, positive content and varied paths. However, there are still some problems can not be avoided due to various reasons. Such as the existence of some non-rational and non-institutional political participation, diversion of political awareness and participation, the interests of enhanced political participation and so on. These shall arose the attention from schools and our society.The author maintain that the minority students'political participation can be viewed as a valuable asset of national universities, promoting the sound development of the minority students of political participation is a systematic process. To successfully complete this project, we need to do:deepen the political reform while develop economy,, strike to improve the innovation of majority systems, establish and broaden the proper paths and procedures of university students' political participation, complete the legal system to ensure that the minority students political participation channels are open. To accomplish of this objective, we need to creat a sound political participation atmosphere, need to strengthen the awareness of political participation and also cooperation of families.
