A Study On Strengthening And Improving Ideological And Political Education Of College Students

In recent years, the Party Central Committee and the State Council have been attaching great importance to the college students'educational innovation in politics and ideology. Many official documents have been issued to set out to strengthen and improve college students'ideological and political education. The national leaders have also affirmed the strategic significance of ideological and political education on several occasions. Ideological and political education is the foundation of the rein of Chinese Communist Party. The work for college students is even more important.It is the base to make all-round developed college students out of school for the prosperous development of China. A lot of achievements have been made and much rich experience have been accumulated by the job for the basic educational means---college students'education. However, with the accelerated globalization process and the rapid development of science and technology, various intermingled information are corroding the college students, who are teenagers. Biologically, their brains and neurological systems grow fast; Psychologically, their intelligence develops rapidly, they have a hunger desire for knowledge, they are wealthy in feelings, they have extensive interests, their spirit of self-dependent grows and their ideology begin to take shape; Ideologically, the young students are in an immature age, in which the knows and unkows, the positive factors and the negative factors co-exist, and their ability to discriminate is poor. So how to develop the job of college students'education in politics and ideology reasonably according to the physical features of the students is the main reason why the traditional way of the job in students'ideology and politics needs to be reformed and innovated.This article develops the research of innovating the educational job in ideology and education in four sections: Section one emphasizes in the concept and the basic characteristic of education in politics and ideology. It introduces the formation process, basic content and the role of education in politics and ideology. Besides, it analyzes the basic features of college students'education in politics and ideology in China, which lays a foundation for the research. Section two focuses on the problems existing in the college students'education in ideology and politics. How to perfect the educational system of college students'ideology and serve the country's construction has become a difficulty before the educators.Section three describes in detail the necessity of innovation and its principles. The big changes have brought a lot of difficulties for the job on college students'education. The changes include the social backgrounds, multi-culture formation, educational system, internet development, the weakening function of education in politics and ideology. Only by continuous innovation can it meet the needs of new era. Moreover, the innovation should adhere to the following principles: people-oriented, principle of relationship of theory to practice, emphasizing actual effect. Then, it can meet the needs of education in politics and ideology more reasonably.Section four demonstrates in detail the content of innovation from the concept, ways, means.In a word, with the development of China's socialist market economy system, the young college students can learn the word in various ways. The job in educating them should be continuously improved. The broad masses of educators must emancipate the mind, regulate the idea, widen the vision, and know clearly the characteristic and the basic law of educational work. And they should learn the modern techniques and make good use of modern concepts to improve the level of educational work, so that they can cope with the challenges brought by various negative factors, and make the college education in ideology and politics develop continuously and keep pace with the time.
