July 2001, the Ministry of Education issued "Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Trial)",China's new basic education curriculum reform initiated in the turn of the century. The development, promulgation of "Science (3 to 6) year curriculum standards (trial version)" marks a primary school science curriculum reform has entered a new period of development. As the most direct participants of school science course -- science teachers are the determinants of the implementation of the new curriculum. Can elementary school science teachers'professional development meet new curriculum requirements? What is the status of their professional development? The issue regarded primary school science teachers in Suzhou City as the research object, selected 53 schools in Suzhou City to make a questionnaire, to understand and analyze the basic situation of primary school science teachers in Suzhou City as well as teaching and professional development actuality of the situation. At the same time I approached the elementary science teacher professional structure and proposed some related strategies of the promotion of Suzhou City elementary school science teacher professional development on this basis.This issue consists of four parts:Part I: General introduction. The purpose and significance, research background, research methods and research ideas are recommended.Part II: Teacher professional development theory exploration. Elementary school science teacher professional development on related concepts are described, professional development of current domestic and international primary and secondary school science teacher professional development, research has combed. And discuss the professional structure of primary school science teachers.Partâ…¢: Suzhou science teacher professional development survey. Questionnaires are sent out to understand, analyze the basic situation of primary school science teachers as well as teaching and professional development actuality. Part IV: development strategies of science teachers in Primary schools of Suzhou, including the policy system, and science education teaching, sense of being independent, building up good cooperation , etc.
