The Investigation And Analyses Of Carrying Out The Volleyball Optional Subject In Senior High Schools In Nanjing

At present, the situation of carrying out the volleyball in Nanjing Senior high schools is not optimistic. In the course of being popularized, the volleyball sports are affected by many factors. Some students do not pay enough attention to it. Volleyball is one of the teaching course in high school. Physical Education, since the time when the optional courses were set up in senior high school, it became an important field.To reveal the real situation and problems with volleyball option, this massage studies the situation of carrying out optional subject in some senior high school in Nanjing and the factors which are affecting the volleyball option by comprehensively using many ways, including questionnaire survey and many other ways. This research is conducted to offer theoretical basis for carrying out the volleyball option in high school.The result of the research shows: First, teachers and students take different attitudes to the volleyball. Teachers think fitness is the most important thing, but the students think the amusement is the most important thing for them. On the teaching method valuation, there are still differences. Teachers have many problems in their teaching process. They pay more attention to the basic technology, but the students pay more attention to the matches without tactics, students and teachers have the same opinion on the site, equipments. They both think they are lack of site and equipments. They also have the same opinion on assessment criteria.Second, most teachers are graduated, a few teachers are post-graduates or from junior colleges. The situation of the volleyball teachers'title of technical post is: Most teachers are in middle rank, then high rank, the least are in junior rank. Volleyball teachers seldom go out to study or exchange their experiences with each other. Many teachers are in imperforation after they began to work. Because of this, they can not compare their levels with others, so they can not improve themselves quickly.Third, in the eight schools in which the research was carried out, there are fewer and fewer students choose volleyball option in recent five years. The students mainly think choosing volleyball option can get scores easily. Some students think it can help them keep healthy. Few students think it can help them make friends or think volleyball itself is attractive. So we can see the students choose the volleyball option purposefully. In fact, they don't often practice volleyball actively.Fourthly, many senior high schools don't have enough sites for volleyball. The equipments are not provided reasonably.Finally, there are five main reasons: the school, the project, the power, the students, the teachers. These reasons provide the reference for carrying out the volleyball option.
