"Humanistic Thoughts" in Pre-Qin period is the essence of traditional culture in China. Selecting the thought represented by Confucian School, Mohist School and Taoist School, this article tries to interpret the content and ideas of the philosophers' "Humanistic Thought" in Pre-Qin Period, hence to analyze the inspiration of such "Humanistic Thought" for the personnel management in colleges."Humanistic Thought" should contains the following characteristics:First, "Humanistic Thought" is opposed to "the Idea of God", and it emphasizes that people's interest should be concerned with or committed to.When dealing with the relationship between man and god, we should start from man rather than God, and explain the social life from personnel rather than the divine to explain what happens. Second, "human" in the Pre-Qin "Humanistic Thought" refers to the specific individuals or groups with social nature, rather than the abstract human. When referring to the group, "Humanistic Thought" is equal to "people-oriented thoughts".Representatives of Confucian School in Pre-Qin period like Confucius, Mencius and Xun Zi, have all expressed their love for the people, showing their attention to the human value. In the relationship of "people & object," or "Man & God (ghosts)", whatever the situation is, personnel is the starting and ending point; the Confucian School fully took consideration of the normal human desire, advocating to meet people's reasonable requirements in interest and fighting against the unjust wars that do harm to the individuals or the interest of the civil. Basing on what discussed above, the king can manage well the relationship between the civil and the sovereign, so as to achieve the objective to "rule over the empire". Mohist advocated "Respecting the Wise", in particular, in the area of talent selection, appointment, and tried every means to take advantage of the skills of the elite talent there; Mohist also advocated "universal love, mutual benefit", beyond loving themselves, and loving the people around them as well. Besides, Taoist advocated being quiet and unreal, in fact, as is to closely care about life, the pursuit of a real realm of life.Under the atmosphere that human resources management in colleges and universities has been increasingly highlighted nowadays, "Humanistic Thought" from Pre-Qin has a special effect on the human resource management. Compared to the situation in the past, the human resource management nowadays has made great progress, but there still occur many problems, which are involved in more than modifying the system, formulating the rules and regulations when being solved. It requires attention to the hard management of college administrators meanwhile further strengthen the soft management. "Humanistic Thought" in Pre-Qin is sure to have an important significance for human resources management in colleges.
