The work about the evaluation on teachers'teaching quality is a important tache of higher education. However, the evaluation on teachers'teaching quality is a complex issue involving multi-factors and multi-levels, different evaluation methods or valuation index system, which will be likely to lead to different results. How to evaluate teachers'teaching activities in a reasonable and impersonal way is crucial for the evaluation of teaching quality.The thesis firstly introduces the concepts of the evaluation on teachers'teaching quality, and compares the present methods of the evaluation on teachers'teaching quality. Following, introduces the theory models in this thesis. Then based on the software of the SAS, SPSS, AMOS, statistical analysis of the measured data on classroom teaching quality in universities provided by students who gave their evaluation result through internet, this thesis makes an empirical study on teaching quality evaluation in universities. As the first step, factor analysis is applied to figure out the key factors that determine teaching quality, which is followed by proposing a basic model for further model analysis. Then, structural equation model is used to reveal the relation between latent variables and observed variables. In addition, the relation between each latent variable and the composite evaluation index is analyzed, upon which a reasonable evaluation model and system is established. It is eventually found out that teachers'sense of responsibility, teaching methods and teaching competence are the three crucial factors that affect teachers'teaching quality, and they are significantly positively correlated with one another. Hopefully, the findings of this research may provide implications for teachers to improve their teaching quality and for administration sections in universities to conduct teaching quality evaluation.
