At the beginning of this century, China had reform in the field of elementary education, which changed the former learning style which placed too much emphasis on passive learning and mechanical memorizing. This reform advocated students' active participation and cooperation in research, also developed students' ability to acquire information, handle information, analyse and solve problems, as well as communication and cooperation. However, the present politics teaching in high school, though it is no longer a mere "cramming teaching", is still different from the requirements of New Curriculum Reformation. Therefore, it is necessary to change the politics teaching mode in high school. Dialogue, a new way of teaching, is different from the traditional form of teaching and it is an effective teaching mode which changes current circumstances in high school politics teaching. This article aims to introduce dialogue to politics teaching, explore an effective approach to enhancing teaching and learning efficiency.Under the guidance of the basic concepts of New Curriculum Reformation and by referring to the theory of dialogue teaching and results of other subjects on it, the thesis starts with "dialogue" and attempts to define the concept of dialogue teaching. Meanwhile, it analyses the main characteristics of dialogue teaching and related psychological, educational and dialogue theory.Next, this thesis analyses the deviation existing in present high school politics teaching and its reasons when carrying out dialogue teaching method. Therefore, it puts forward the requirements of further developing dialogue teaching in the process of course reformation.Finally, in reference to predecessors' dialogue teaching theory and practice in high school politics, this thesis summarizes and reflects these and also dose some practical exploration implementing in the class of high school politics. This thesis also gives some suggestion on dialogue teaching, which includes the principle, form and strategy of implementation in high school politics. Moreover, it gives demands from the aspects of teaching and learning, which is the focus of this thesis.Of course, any theory has its own limitation, therefore, dialogue teaching theory is of no exception, nor is it panacea. It implies some difficulties in helping us out of the traditional "cramming teaching", which suggests research in teaching is endless. Dialogue teaching ideas just provides us with a new perception for better management of new curriculum and it will help high school politics teachers update the teaching concept. Thus, it helps to improve our teaching competence in high school politics. |
