With the rapid growth of modern economy and fast development of science and technology, the secondary school students have a variety of psychological problems in interpersonal communication, learning, living and self-expression. Students run away from home and even commit suicide more often. The status of students'mental health is worrying. Educators should pay attention to the development of students'mental health during their work.Chinese teaching includes rich and positive factors of mental health education. It plays a special and important role in forming healthy mentality and has deep influence on students'mental and physical health. Involving mental health education in Chinese teachers'teaching process could reduce the students'mental problems, promote their physical and mental health and train highly qualified intellectuals.First of all, it's essential to understand the mental health and Chinese teaching's influence to mental health education as well as the significance of the research.The three aspects included in involving mental health education in Chinese teaching are as follows: develop iron will, strength feelings edification and gain the ability of self attainment.The methods and strategies to involving mental health education in Chinese teaching are put into practice mainly in the teaching of composition. The mental health education is carried out during reading course. The mental health education could also be achieved by creating scenes, stimulating imagination, role play, brainstorming, etc.
