The autonomous learning is a process that the students can not onlydecide,choose,adjustandcontroltheirstudy,butalsointrospectegoevaluationinwhichthestudentscandeveloptheircorpus.ThetargetofEnglishinvocationalschoolistohelpthestudentstostudyEnglishfoundationknowledgefurther,developmenttheirlanguageskillsandcommunicationabilityinthesocietywhichisthefirststeptoformtheappliedability of career English.This thesis first discussed various modes and characteristics ofautonomouslearningthrough theoreticalresearch.Thenprovedthatitisappreciatetocarry out autonomous learning in vocational school.It particularly introduced theteaching experiment of English autonomous learning in vocational chool, theexperimentmainlywantstoinvestigatethreeproblems:1.How to improve the students study ability through the teachers'classroomteaching,2.How to raise the students English independence study ability through differntsactivitiesbothinandoutoftheclassroom.3.Do the students can develop their English skills through in depen dence study?After answering these questions,we want to find out new mathods of Englishauton omous learning and to improve the quality of English teaching.
