2002 the《The National College Physical Education Course Outline Education guidance》was promulgated, that marks a new round of physical education curriculum reform in a comprehensive way. Comprehensively improve the quality of teaching, make students to better grasp the body of knowledge on physical education (movement technology), lay the foundation for lifelong physical, is the important task of public sports colleges and universities. It provides a broad stage for the teachers "teaching innovation" that the implementation of the new curriculum,new courses to play down the traditional concept of one-sided utilitarian nature physical education, adhere to the guiding ideology of "health first", emphasize students comprehensive sustainable development, the new round of physical education curriculum reform stressed the need to change the past traditional methods that emphasis on the implementation of students to learn mechanical training physical education, promote students active to participation and willing to explore, develop students the ability to collect and process information, acquire new knowledge, analysis and problem-solving, as well as the ability of exchange and cooperation.This study use a variety of teaching methods as the teaching learning process, explore learning and cooperative learning theory, which were selected apart to be combined to build a certain part of the " step by step teaching method " to teaching in the breaststroke options study carried out in practice. In this study, the 08 students of public physical education in Jiamusi University as the research object, use the research methods of literature, questionnaire survey method, experimental method of teaching, tentative exploration of the "step by step teaching method" teaching methods course options for students breaststroke five objectives in the field effect, for swimming teaching methods with a view to provide theoretical and practical basis.Through teaching experiment, obtained and analyzed the test data, the results show that:1. Use the "step by step teaching method" to teaching in breaststroke swimming lesson options of college can improve teaching effectiveness and student techniques achievement. Realization of the field of physical education curriculum objectives and requirements for motor skills.2. Use the "step by step teaching method" to teaching in breaststroke swimming lesson options of college able to activate the students for sports participation, sports motivation, sports interest in learning and behavior, in order to achieve the goal of student sports participation.3. Use the "step by step teaching method" to teaching in breaststroke swimming lesson options of college, through the group students exchanges with each other mutual concern and evaluation, interactive exploration and other cooperative activities, can enhance the cooperation and interaction capabilities of the students. The competition between the two groups and within the group enhance the competition sense of students, so enhancing the social adjustment of students.4. Use the "step by step teaching method" to teaching in breaststroke swimming lesson options of college, enhance students concerned about the physical and health awareness, better than traditional teaching methods able to achieve the health objectives of the students.5. Use the "step by step teaching method" to teaching in breaststroke swimming lesson options of college, for students to master the role of swimming to mental health, to understand the relationship between swimming activity and self-confidence, strengthening the willpower of overcome to students , to enhance the mental health of students In these areas.6. Through teaching experiments and questionnaire analysis showed that step by step teaching method in colleges and universities use to teaching of swimming lesson options is viable and productive, that is superior to traditional teaching methods; it is an ideal teaching method.
