Research On Farmers' Issue Of Religious Beliefs Based On The New Countryside Perspective

This article takes the Christians in the L town of Henan Province as the investigation object, through the questionnaires, case interviews, utilizing mathematical statistic analysis, has promulgated the contemporary farmer to the religious belief cognition, the manner, the participation behavior in religion, and discussed the influence of the different individual characteristic, the social system and Christianity theory system to the religious participation behavior, and then put forward the corresponding policy and proposal in this foundation. Regarding the stable countryside social order, construction "local custom civilization" the socialism new countryside and the harmonious society, this research has the important theory value and the practical significance. The article divides into five parts:First part:Introduction mainly the background, the research goal and the significance, the literature review, the basic concept, the research concept, idea and methodology, sample selection and characteristics were discussed.Second part:The theoretical analysis of the issue of religious belief. Separately from the Marxism religion view theory, the religious secularization theory and attitude-behavior theory, the theoretical foundation of the farmer religious belief was explained.Third part:The present situation analysis and appraisal of the southwestern Henan Province farmers'the issue of religious belief. The present situation of the southwestern Henan Province farmers'religious belief cognition, the manner, the participation behavior in religion were analyzed and appraised.Fourth part:The analysis of the influencing factors of farmers'religion participation behaviors. From the sex, the age, the years of schooling, the income, the occupation, the state of health and so on, the relation of the individual characteristic farmers and the religious participation was discussed, the age,education level and personal health was significantly related to religious participation behavior, and further on the social system and the Christianity theory system were expounded.Fifth part:Conclusion and proposal. The research indicated that the current religious belief cognition degree of the countryside is in an imbalance situation, different individual characteristics (sex, age, schooling, income and so on) result in the different participation behaviors of the religious followers. In view of the problems of the countryside religious belief, it proposes that we should maintain the policy of the freedom of religion to promote economic and social construction of religious services; promotes rural cooperative medical care, improves the rural social security system; increases the supply of public goods in rural areas, improves the farmers'culture quality; manages religious affairs according to law, regulates religious activities in rural areas; makes use of religion to secular, rural spiritual civilization.
