Our country is in the transition period of modernization and reform as well as open-up, social conflict of different interest has become more and more intense,social and economic structures are undergoing major and profound changes, contradictions among the various interest groups, such as between new and old systems, old and new ideas appeared, which consequently result in frequent group events. That is one main factor weakening social stability and harmony. Correctly, our government major task is to recognize the cause of the group events,and to adjust the interest conflicts among all ranks of people,debug and alleviate the interest conflicts, then adopt feasible methods to avoid or cut down the incidence of the group events at various levels of party and government. Undoubtedly it has important significance to keep our social stability and promote the reform and development.The research about the sources, laws and tastiest of the group events has its significance.This article introduces background, significance research ideas and framework of this article. After that,this article carries on the explanation to the group event related theory,include limiting the group event concept, analyzing the group event main characteristic, and carriying on the classification to the group event. Then,this carry on the analysis to group event of our country, include the reasons and preset situation. Base on the research above, this part puts forward suggestions to prevent group events, such as strengthen information management, establish a fair social environment, and expand expression channels of public opinion,and put forward suggestions to deal with group events, such as strengthen the role of public security department, improve the legal system, strengthen the aw enforcement. At last, analysize the process, cause and lessons of Shishou group event.
