The Construction Of Community Attachment In The Perspective Of A Harmonious Society

The strategy of building a socialist harmonious society was firstly proposed in the National Congress Party; the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth further clarified its mandate. On February 19,2005, Hu Jintao gave a clear definition in the opening ceremony of symposium on improving the capacity of building a socialist harmonious society attended by principal leading cadres at provincial level:"We want to build a socialist harmonious society:a society which is full of democracy, monocracy, fairness, justice, honesty, vitality, stability and order, a society in which man and nature live in harmony." Hu further pointed out that in order to build a harmonious society, "we have to strengthen the urban grassroots self-organization, and the point is the construction of a harmonious community; the community should plays important roles in raising people's living standards and quality, in marinating the Party's ties with masses, and in safeguarding social stability and creating a favorable environment for living." Hu Jintao's speech pointed out the breakthrough point of harmonious society building-harmonious community building. And the community attachment is important in building a harmonious community. From this perspective the essay discusses how to build community attachment so as to promote the building of a harmonious society in China.This first part discusses the status quo of the construction of community attachment. The essay defines several terms in the essay, and analyzes the factors influencing the community attachment; then it introduces innovation in community attachment building, such as management model, management mechanism and autonomy enhancing; it also analyzes the features in community building-the role of party organizations in the community; it finally analyzes the problems in the construction of community attachment.The second part is based on how to solve the problems in construction and analyzes the relationship between harmonious society and community attachment construction. That is, community attachment construction is the soul of harmonious society construction, and the latter is the driving force of the former. And the subject is human; both the construction of a harmonious society and community attachment should focus on human and their satisfaction and arouse the community residents'initiative and creativity to build harmonious community and society.The third part tries to find the path to establish community attachment from the views of macroscopic, medium, and microcosmic; that is theoretical guidance, scientific mechanism, and sound system, which is of theoretical and practical significance.This essay makes a comprehensive analysis of the community attachment construction using both documentary and comparative study, and on this basis it proposes the countermeasures and thus is helpful in China's community and harmonious society construction.
