The society from the traditional to the modern type of long-term, holistic change is what we call social transformation.From the perspective of human history,the western countries take the lead into the modern society. Therefore,the issue of social transformation began in the west. Western theories of social transformation include classic theory of industrial society,empirical theory of new evolutionary, diversity theory of social transformation.Chinese scholars on issues of social transformation began in the 90s.Over the past decade, the scholars have made multi-disciplinary, the multi-domain exploration to the social traditional question, come up with a lot of results.This article is on the basis of these results, has made the simple induction and the summary of the meaning of social transformation,the content, the essential, the characteristic,the power of transformation and so on. Also take the theory as the instruction, I further studied the China rural social transformation from reform and opening-up.Social transformation in terms of its content can be divided into four levels.There are the transformation of the economic,the transformation of the political,the transformation of the ideological and cultural,the transformation of social stratification. This article is based on their performance in their respective fields, analysis of China's rural social transformation from the reform and opening-up,including the achievements and problems.However, the purpose of raising question is intended to analyze the problem and then solve the problem, aiming at the problems of China's rural social transformation, this article tried to make some comments and suggestions,as the starting point and destination of writing this article.
