The Research On Countermeasures And Problems With The Construction Of University Student Party-building

Party-building work of university students is a very important part of the education function of university. It is a systematic program which needs to be deepened and innovated continuously. Strengthening party-building of university students is essential to the cultivation of qualified builders and reliable successors for socialism. It is proved that the party-building work of university students still has many problems with the ideological, political and the work style and that the function of the work has not been full displayed in practice. Facing the new situation, only if we continue to strengthen the discussion of these issues, and seek solutions to solve the problem, could a new situation for university student party-building work be created.With political socialization and orgnization sociology as the theory support, adhering to the principle of integrating theory with practice, a questionnaire for empirical research is designed to investigate and analyze the problems with the party-building work of university students according to previous studies and the practical experience of the author. The results indicated that,from the ideological aspect, most of the young students do not have mature motivation of joining the party, and need more direction. Besides, the reasons why university students do not want to join the party have a characteristic of diversification. Among these reasons, both the unapparent advanced nature of party members and the problem of corruption have negative influence on the students' wishes of joining the party; as to feelings after joining the party, there is decrease instead of increase in ideological level, more than 50% of student party members do not meet the requirements of strict self-discipline and pioneer model function. Party members have various pursuit of life and plays an important part in contributing to society. With the time to join the party can improve ideals and beliefs significantly, as many as 8.3% of party members are religious believers,we must guard against such a serious violation of the spirit of the phenomenon of the Party Constitution..When it comes to the constructing of the organization, the level of the party branches' activities needs to be improved and the atmosphere of criticism and self-criticism is not well built. From the building of party branches, there are imperfections in system establishment and implementation in party-building of grass-roots party organizations. More than 50% of the people investigated viewed that the implementation of the system has defects.From the construction of the party member's style, although party members pay much attention to their own study, they do not have much effect on promoting other students' study. Their understanding about spirit of devotion is not up to the standard of spirit of sacrifice advocated in party spirit education. Besides, the ability to serve people of student part organizations has not been widely recognized by the students. At last, based on theoretical analysis and empirical research, tentative idea about establishing a system of college party-building work is suggested from four aspects: consciousness forming system, responsibility fulfilling system, voluntary service system and quality guarantee system.
