The modernization of the world has gone through several climaxes for hundreds of years, some countries have already successfully entered into the door of the modernization, but there are still many countries still hovering outside the door, especially in countries with ancient civilizations, suffering much in the process of modernization. From the point view of successful footsteps, although they have different models and different backgrounds, in terms of the effective containment of social anomie under the market economy due to some cultural and social factors, it seems that there is a certain common thing, and the countries frequently suffered from the negative side of the frustrations in the process of modernization continue to give us a similar warning. From such a perspective, the previous existing linear framework of the modernization seems to misread the "truth" of modernization. In this thesis, it involves the issue of a full and speedy anomie of the age-old traditional society under the rapid corrosion of a market economy in terms of modernization, and considers the "affinity" between the traditional social structure and the market economy as the red line of understanding the modernization. The rise of the modernization of East Asian makes authoritarian political model have a very high voice, but as the intermediate links of the transition of a traditional society to a modern democratic society, authoritarianism has deep-rooted problems inherent in itself which make it difficult to overcome the obstacles although there are some merits in it, Authoritarianism is a "double-edged sword." Due to the unique cultural connotation and historical background of developing countries, at the beginning of the modernization, taking authoritarian approach to realize the modernization and creating the environment of a viable market economy have become the only option for these countries, but the infinite power of authoritarianism promotes socio-economic development and at the same time distort the market economy and stifle the spirit of citizenship and social capital, which is likely to lead to " Without the right to Granville ", losing the appeal and legitimacy it should have. The author of this thesis adopts the Japanese authoritarian political model as an example to explore the pros and cons of authoritarianism under the new framework of the modernization and the relationship between authoritarianism and modernization and also explore the possibility of transitional path of authoritarianism, so as to provide some help for the development of the road of socialism with China's characteristics. The main body of this thesis is divided into three parts, the first part defines the notions of modernization and authoritarianism and reflect on the previous linear view of development and analyzes the authoritarianism of the developing and exogenous countries; The second part is an analysis of the case of Japan, which is divided into two sections, and explores the gain and loss of authoritarianism in the process of Japanese modernization respectively; The third part is the analysis of the relationship between authoritarianism and contemporary China's politics combined with the lessons of Japan's model and discusses the development of China's future politics.
