Research On Islamic Extremism In Central Asia

Since independence, Central Asia has become a region rampant with Islamic extremism. Islamic extremism has brought great assault on stability and security of Central Asia, also posed a threat to northwest region of China, especially Xinjiang. Islamic extremism in this area will not disappear soon, and it will threaten Xinjiang for a long time. Therefore, in-depth study the issue of Islamic extremism in Central Asia, has both theoretical and practical significance to our national security and regional stability.The thesis first defines the concept of Islamic extremism. Then talks about the history and reasons of Islamic extremism in Central Asia, analyzes the extremism organizations and their danger on specific analysis of IMU and Hizb ut-Tahril al-Islami, concludes the measures on how to prevent and fight against Islamic extremism of local governments, predicts the future of Islamic extremism in Central Asia. At last, summarizes some inspirations of the study.The author's research approach is intergrated with methods of historical reasoning, case analysis, comparative analysis and analytic hierarchy process.
