Research On The Ecological Emigration Of Minqin In The Perspective Of Sustainable Development

Embosomed in sands, Minqin is an agricultural county in Gansu province. With its development mainly relying on traditional agricultural industry, ecological environment has always been a decisive factor for the whole county. In recent years, the county is faced with serious difficulties due to changes in weather and geographical conditions, as well as the severe deteriorating of natural environment caused by over-exploration of natural resources.In order to eliminate the conflicts between human social development and natural environment, organized ecological migration has been adopted ever since 1990's, to which great attention has been attached for it is an essential measure to solve the ecological problem in the county. So far, remarkable achievements have been made. However, ecological emigration is a long term task. Based on the analysis of the issue at hand, the thesis carries out a tentative study, from a sustainable development perspective, to probe into the applicable measures for ecological emigration in the county. The main concerns of the thesis are as following: the investigation of problems occurred in the process, the research on the system and mechanism innovation of ecological emigration, the discussion of applicable measures.
