Malaysian Foreign Policy In Mahathir's Era: Purpose, Process And Comments

Dr Mahathir Bin. Mohammad has taken the position of Malaysian premier for 22 years. During his premiership, he promoted Malaysian power and international image successfully through setting rational policies and special diplomatic style. He adjusts the New Economic Policy and relations with Britain to protect national capital, and he manages to strive for East Asian capital and market by adjusting the relations with Japan and South Korea. Simultaneously Mahathir constructs a good economic environment for attracting FDI and foreign markets by National Development Policy and Wawasan 2020. Based on those, the power of Malaysia gets promoted. In a word, 22 years of Mahathir's premiership is a glorious period.
