Research on ancient Chinese adultery child is still a area that only a few persons join in, but it's valuable to research. It involves many questions, so I choose one of them, adultery child'inherit to research.First, I analyze the meaning of adultery child. I think adultery child is different from illegitimate child, and in fact adultery child is just one type of illegitimate child. I also simply analyze how people treat adultery child. Second, this article discuses the provision about adultery child in ancient Chinese law and how the judge takes up the cases about adultery child. Generally the adultery child can't inherit their father's identity, but he can inherit the property. There are provisions how the adultery child inherit the property since Yuan Dynasty. Third, I research how people treat the adultery child in countryside. There are many differences between law and attitude in countryside. Then, I analyze the conflict between Nation law and Civil law, and how to solve the problem. Besides, the article discuses the reason why there are provisions how the adultery child inherit the property. Last, I compare with the west in this question, and I find that these provisions in ancient china is earlier than those in the west.
