The Study Of The Path Of Singapore Political Development

From 1960s, Singapore has got profound achievement in all aspects, such as economy, politics and society, especially its notable economy accomplishment and distinctive political development pattern, which catch international attention. Is the enormous economy accomplishment related with the distinctive path of Singapore political development? To what degree does this political development pattern affect the economy? What is the background of the distinctive path of political development? What influences have been produced by this development pattern to other counties and the development theory? And which direction will Singapore politics develop to? In order to answer these questions, I write this thesis with four parts, which are the basic concepts about political development, the course of Singapore political development, the characteristics and reasons of Singapore political development path, and the prospect of Singapore political development path.Part One: This part is the basic concept about the political development. It mainly analyzes the concepts about Singapore political development, such as political development, the pattern of political development, the aim of political development and the influence of choice. This part is the foundation of the following statements.Part Two: This part is the course of Singapore political development. Chronologically, the course contains three stages. The first is forming stage of the fundamental political construction, the second is consolidation and development stage of the authority system, the third is reform stage.Part Three: This part is the characteristics and reasons of Singapore political development path, which includes two aspects. The first one is the analysis of this development pattern, the premise of the development, the promotion of the development, the aim of the development, the system guarantee of the development and so on. The second one is the reasons of the distinctive pattern. There are international and domestic aspects to explain this: international factors are external conditions and domestic factors are rudimentary conditions. Part Four: This part is the prospect of Singapore political development path, which is to summarize the enlightenment and significance of development theory and other developing countries. Finally, I will study the prospect of Singapore political development in the point of validity and democratization angles.
