From the establishment of Israel inl947, four large-scale wars had taken place between Egypt and Israel, so they were at daggers drawn. It was quite a big surprise that the Egyptian president Sadat visited Jerusalem in November, 1977. From that time, their relations began to turn to reconciliation and they established formal diplomatic relations in 1980. But their relations were not always plain and sometimes they even broke their diplomatic relations. Their relations were always in the situation of peace without warm and coldness without war, which was called "cold-peace". This paper takes the "cold-peace" between Israel and Egypt after their reconciliation as research subject. This research is based on the real historical facts and use history research methods to probe the reason of "cold-peace" and its concrete situation and its effects. The author gets a deep understanding of the reason of the formation of their "cold-peace" and why their "cold-peace" lasted so long on the angles of nationalism and civilization-communication.It will help us to judge their diplomatic value orientation to understand deeply the "cold-peace" between Egypt and Israel, which can offer some references for china to develop the relations with Israel, Egypt and other Arab countries as well as Islamic countries.
