"Three agri-related problems" (that means the three key points ofagriculture——ragriculture, peasants, rural areas) is a crucial one inpresent economic and social development of our country, in which thepeasant workers problem is simultaneously occupying the core.Perhaps just because of this, in recent years, the peasant workersproblem, which became a hot and focal point in society, has beenarousing the key attention of our government. It also became animportant subject in our country's academic circles, in particular ineconomics, sociology and politics etc. and has made greatachievements. In recent years, from the perspective of sociology, scholarsfocused on the studies of the behaviors of peasant workers' flowing, internal differentiation or stratification, the relations between peasantworkers group and society, peasant workers' community, theinfluences on rural area development and farmers' modernity, population management and policy, as well as the process ofcitizenization, etc. However, in our country's academic circle, scholars tend to stress the connotations of peasant workers becomingcitizen, the barriers that prevents the process and how to promotepeasant workers becoming citizen. This thesis is as well an exploration on the problem of howpeasant workers becoming citizen, mainly based on the study of theinteractions between peasant workers and citizen. Through theanalysis of data, we've noticed that there exists certain regularity inthe interacting of peasant workers and city residents, such as they bothcontain hostility, distrust, and the interactions of them are superficial. However, the current interactions of peasant workers and citizen willimpact on their further interactions. This kind of interaction results in lacking of communication and cooperation between them, and alsoresults in peasant workers living in suburban areas, and lacking ofsocial identification.Focusing on above situations, we put forward to some proposals:we argue that our government should play a leading role in drawingup some policies to improve the interactions between peasant workersand citizen. Peasant workers should make slef-improvement in orderto transform economic-based life model into living-based life modelas early as possible, and establish social-identification in the citiesthey live and the citizen they interact with. Citizen should eliminateprejudice and discrimination towards peasant workers, take advantageof relative methods to help them, which could result in beneficialinteraction and quicken the pace of peasant workers' civilization.
