Study On Situation And Development Of Ethnic Relationships In Xinjiang

Xinjiang lies in the northwest of China, which is an autonomous region many minorities live. Be the biggest province, Xinjiang governs 14 prefectures (contain 5 autonomous prefectures) and 85 counties, cities (contain 6 autonomous counties). There are living 55 ethnic groups (except Jino) according to the fifth census statistics in 2000.Along with the western district development and market economy flourishing, the trend of ethnics composition diversification in Xinjiang become more and more obvious, the moving and communication between ethnics become more frequently. But a series of new problems come out. On the one hand, ethnic amalgamation and communication with each other become frequently. on the other hand, some new problems and contradictions which influence ethnic relationship are emerging, such as the westward hostilities carry out"westernization"and"splitting"on minorities region lie in our country border. Ethnic relationship becomes an important factor on economic and society development of Xinjiang. It is meaningful to study ethnic relationship in Xinjiang.This thesis has five parts. The first part introduces the situation and ethnic groups in Xinjiang. The second part analyses the situation of the ethnic relationships in xinjiang. Firstly, summarizes the constitutions of the ethnic relationships in xinjiang. Secondly, points seven main factors which influence on ethnic relationships in xinjiang. Thirdly, analyses four expressions of ethnic relationships in xinjiang. Lastly, sums up the main five points of the characteristics of the ethnic relationships in xinjiang. The Third part predicts the tendency of the development of ethnic relationship in Xinjiang. The last part puts forward some proposals, such as developing economy, enhancing culture communication, perfecting national policy and laws, paying attention to the problems of the ethnics who living transnational.
