Immigration Policies Of EU Countries And Their Influences On New Chinese Immigrants

This paper is to study the immigration policies of EU countries and their influences on new Chinese immigrants. After the end of World War II, Western Europe has gradually changed from the traditional migration source region to immigration destination region. Now EU is one of the biggest destinations of permanent immigrants. For a long time, the large influx of immigrants has made a far-reaching impact on the politics, economy and society of EU. Under the influence of the economic and political situation, the immigration policies of EU countries have undergone a transformation from liberal to strict, and to the combination of liberal and strict. Along with the deepening and development of the integration, the immigration policies of EU influenced by country's sovereignty and supranational elements, have gone through a course from each goes his own way to coordination each other, and then to further integration. There is an interactive relationship between the immigration policies of EU countries and the development of Chinese immigration activity to EU. Meanwhile, we can draw some inspiration from the immigration policies of EU countries to the relative work of Chinese government.
