The Study Of Some Problems Of The Battle Command Of Infantry Division In The Mountain Positions Under Information Condition

This paper takes offensive battles against enemies in the solid in-depth mountain positions on the island under the information-based condition, and uses the second-echelon infantry division of the first-echelon army conducting the landing task at the main direction in the anti-Taiwan landing operation or the first-echelon infantry division of the following echelon army as the object, and analyses the basic features of combat command and its requirements on command system under the information-based condition. Then, the author puts forward the command principles in the offensive actions against the defensive enemy in the solid mountain positions and some problems to be further solved, combining the current situation of the weapons and equipment between the enemy and our own troops and the available development for both sides in the near future.Firstly, effects to the infantry division's offensive battle in mountain area caused by battle environment.In this part, the paper firstly analyses from five aspects the features of natural environment in the operational area and the effects on command on four aspects. Then it analyses the features of the enemy's defensive battle in solid mountain position from six aspects of position construction, forces deployment, fire disposition, obstacles construction, and offensive actions as well as electronics operation, and analyses specifically their effects on command. As it concludes, the information-based battlefield command has the following basic features as: more flexible in command method, more agile in command grouping, near-real-time in command time, more transparent in command environment, more intensive in command encounter. According to these seven features and combining the current situation of weapons and equipment of our infantry forces, the paper puts forward that our combat command system of infantry division should enjoy five abilities, that is, powerful ability of acquiring information, safe and quick ability of transform information, scientific and fast ability of possessing information, strong survivability and strong ability of reorganizing the system.Secondly, command principles in infantry division's offensive battles in mountain areas under information based condition.This part is the main body of the whole paper. It bases on the current equipment and the available development in the near future, and puts forward on six aspects the principle in infantry division's offensive battles in mountain areas under information based condition. First, combine multiple methods to gain rear-real-time information. It is stressed that we should take full use ofvarious technical resonance instruments and traditional tactical resonance methods and various channels to gain all-sided intelligence. Second, take use of technology skillfully and seize the initiative of information. Third, use multiple methods to improve the time-effectiveness of command. We should take the advantage of sophistic dynamic decision-making art to improve the quick-responding capability in the battlefield, and conduct swift command relying on the automatic command system. Fourth, take use of multiple methods to command coordination and control by flexible command methods and control and coordination methods. Fifth, take stratagem skillfully to puzzle the enemy. We should use tricks to induce the enemy's mistakes and grasp any opportunity to explore greater victory. Sixth, change according to the actual situation and improve the survivability. We should take full use of terrain to conceal and camouflage skillfully and the command posts should move irregularly in certain areas.Thirdly, strategy to be solved in battle command of infantry division under information condition.In this part, the author thinks from the angle of military struggle preparation, and puts forward certain problems which should be solved to meet with the battle command in future offensive battle in mountain areas by infantry division. First, by scientific demonstration, the author suggests the aims to build up automatic command, make efforts to construct command information system, to lift up continuously the level of automatic command and adapt to the requirement of information. Second, we should strengthen the training of commander and streamline the structure talents and improve our commanders' level of competence.
