Study On Political Socializalization In Modern China

Political socialization, as internalization of dominant political culture by citizen, can not only strengthen the agglomerating power of a country or of a society but moderate the shock to political system caused by the negative factors at home and abroad, consolidate and stabilize the political situation.Since the implementation of opening and reform policy, modern China has been facing the challenge and problem rendered during the process of globalization and social transformation. In the political field, globalization brings certain shock to socialist political culture. In the meanwhile, social interest structure in modern China experiencing the social transformation is in great change and political field as well as political culture is changing tremendously, which has caused the profound contradiction in reform and the continuing advent of conflicts, and then has negative impact on political development and social stabilization. Therefore, the consolidation of political socialization centering on socialist political culture with Chinese characteristics has been an important issue for us to do research and practice.The minor problems in modern China's political socialization are as the following: the scarcity of citizen's political knowledge, the negativity of citizen's political passion and the polarization of political values.It is necessary to begin from three points of political culture, citizen and political socialization institutions to promote political socialization in China. There are severalconcrete countermeasures. Firstly, constructing socialist political culture with Chinese characteristics and controlling political sub-culture to a reasonable range. Secondly, to nurture citizen's subjective political personality and regulating citizen's political behavior by controlling political personality. Thirdly, promoting political socialization by improving citizen's political participating level. Fourthly, it isnecessary to improve the function of political socialization institutions------improvingthe content system of political education in education system, being in charge of the mass media's correct guide of public political opinion, regulating the operation of public power in government system, attaching' importance to network politics, establishing citizen's political views and behavior-monitoring-and-measuring system.
