Modernity theory, featured by rationality, is in deep crisis because of its inherent constructive conflict and the challenge from social reform. Modernity ethic and moral education is now in trouble both in theory and practice. Based on broad human cultural background, the article draws rich cultural resources to enlarge our insight into moral education.
