The development of ideological and political education itself is a basic, mutuallyconstitutive proposition, which contains "modernity", and "modernization". Currently,the Chinese community is in the era of an overall restructuring. The moderntransformation of various fields requires human modernization, which is to culturecitizen·s modernity. Ideological and political education is a purposeful, planned,organized social practice which certain class, political parties, social groups imposingon its members; its fundamental objective is to promote human full developments. Onlyby promoting the modernization of ideological and political education, will theresolution of human modernity construction be promoted; will the goal of "two century"and "China dream" be fulfilled; will the national governance system and managementability be rapidly advanced.Based on the above understanding, the paper, with the literature research, historicalanalysis and comparative research, has combed the historical process of Chinese andwestern ideological and political education and modern logic, inspected the modernthought of Marxism and the ideological and political education process of thecommunist party of China on the basis of the research of modernity theory. Finally, thepaper has discussed the current new modernity of the ideological and political educationand the time dimension of post-industrialization and globalization as well as the spatialdimension of Chinese nation.First, it is the definition of modernity of the ideological and political educationfield. From the highest level, the author believes that modernity refers to thecharacteristics and attributes of modern social existence and development, or itsessential stipulation. In terms of modernity of ideological and political education, in the category of time, its "modern" depends on its historical junction on one hand; differentsubjects definitions of modern on the other hand. Although the concept of "Ideologicaland political educationμ was established after the birth of the Marxism, but as a specialpractice, it has its objective existence form arising from the birth of the human societyclass and the state. Ideological and political education in different historical stagescontains certain elements of modernity to some extent, which can be absorbed critically.From the qualitative state category, the modern ideological and political education weinsist, must seek the theoretical foundation from the Marxist criticism and constructionof modernity, which is the natural science of Marxism and human nature. The modernideological and political education of Marxism is the essential modernity of humanbeingμ, and the modernity of human beingμ displaces the subjectivity of human being,which are human full developments.Secondly, in terms with modernity process, hackling and criticizing modern logicof western ideological and political education, The thesis holds that the development ofwestern ideological and political education demonstrate as follows: executing subjectschange from city state to country, the educational goals change from good people togood citizen, and the teaching modes change from daily participation to classroomteaching. Meanwhile, a series of changes from classic to modernity also display suchargument in the area of ideological and political education. In terms of internaluniformity, there is natural co-relation between education and citizen: education moldcitizens and its goals are to cultivate qualified citizens which are fulfilled by theheadship of Populous. On the other hand, Ideological and political education in theWest also has the inherent tolerance showed as that the modern liberal personalitydevelopment challenges to national civic duty, economic society for the occupation andeducation greatly weakened the social consciousness of citizens, and state dominatededucation seems increasingly lack legitimacy in the widely-developed modern society.There are at least three major drawbacks in Modern western ideological and politicaleducation: one is "variation of the human subjectivity". The ideological and politicaleducation in modern western role is only "negative scavenger" instead of "positive leader","good citizen" is distanced and distinguished from "good guys", the manicmodernity logic discourse made up by the freedom and rights leads to moraldevaluation, belief, value crisis, social degradation. Then, the tendency of philosophyand politics integration make the ideological and political education of Western facepoliticized dogmatism crisis, pure knowledge formalism crisis, and the empiricismcrisis which tend to be vulgar Lastly, reason breaks up with practice. The westernmodern ideological and political education is to culture an ordinary citizen pursuingselfish desires and equality in forms and supreme citizens mastering the political skills.Such Ideological and political education has degenerated into a political and technicaleducation in the system of pseudo democracyμ and mediocre education withoutnobility, which will become a manipulation tools boosting the new totalitarian politics.In the face of the crisis, a "modernity taking in classic" attitude should be tried toreinterpret and reconstruct Ideological and political education. The ideas of Virtue","good health","natural right" and "enlightenment human with philosophy" andμphilosophy leading politics in Western classical ideological and political education hasan important reference value.Next, in terms with modernity process and logic in Chinese western ideologicaland political education, the thesis points out: before modern times, in the system ofunity of family and country and Monarchical supremacy, human subjectivityμ as themain symptom of modernity in our country has been lack for a long time. during thisspecial period from the late Qing Dynasty to the new Chinese,,the cry of the civilrights, democracy,demarche and practice of social governance in modern ChinaIdeological and political education, Are based on the promise of the civil rights,democracy, integrated with the national patriotism in the development and ally withrepublicanism which is take active part by citizens. All of which constitute the localizedmodern logic in modern China Ideological and political education. Chinese CommunistParty was developed for ninety years, the ideological and political education has madegreat achievements in Marx’s guidance, but it is also facing the challenge in a new stagein the history, challenges in its system construction, challenges from modernization, challenges at home and abroad, which requires the innovation in Marx’s guidance torealize the hyper-development of modern ideological and political education.Based on the time dimension of post-industrialization and globalization as well asthe spatial dimension of Chinese nation, the dissertation expounds the new modernityand development of China·s ideological and political education. From an individualdimension, the essence of ideological and political education is to help a person reach afree and all-round development. From the political dimension, it serves the ruling classin a class society. It is obviously risky to take a neutral stance and attempt to dilute itsideological nature. However, we must understand that all nations in their different timeshave the commonality and non-ideological nature in this respect. From an ethicdimension, first, educators must learn to communicate with students in the course ofpractice instead of putting themselves in a domineering position. This is a legitimateside of it. From a societal dimension, it is a soft power to integrate and unify our society.Second, we should also understand its pluralism. While sticking to the fact that theimplementation subject should be our country, it is essential for us to have a clearunderstanding that every citizen in this society can be the subject.We aim to internalizethe content of ideological and political education and let all citizens, social groups,family, schools and working units play a major role in it. Third, we must pay attentionto its diverse narration. The new modernity believes that we should not only have agrandiose narration of universal rules, scientific truth and liberation and emancipation,but also narrate people·s daily life. Thus a close association with social life and practiceshould be given a top priority to in such education. It should play a role in helping formboth individual and public characteristics of the society. Fourth, diversity ofdevelopment. New modernism accepts the view that human society develops andmarches forward under the universal rules but opposes modern theory that humansociety develops according to a fixed direction. It emphasizes that the society deveopsin a multi-direction with multi-paths. Thus the construction of modern ideological andpolitical education should be in consistent with our national conditions and a complete,scientific, accurate and developed Marxism theroy rather than with western concepts of value. Fifth, dynamic equilibrium. We draw on rational factors of modern theory andpost-modern theory in western countries together with pre-modernity and moderntheory of China that are in accordance with the development at present time to yield acomprehensive and innovative integration.In the course of practice, we must put people·s all-round development first in themodern construction of China·s ideological and political education. Guided by Marxismand against the background of a socialist country with Chinese characteristics, we muststrive to popularize mainstream value concept and hold onto a socialist core valuesystem to conduct patriotism education based on integration between the nation and theworld. Meanwhile, we must pursue an ideal education using both dominance anddiversity approaches and legal education integrating subjectivity and social nature.While reaching interdependence between virtual and real network education, we shouldconstantly take in essence of traditional culture and modern elements of other nations inthis aspect. For several years to come, we can make great strides in its modernity andmake bigger contributions to the cultivation of talents and realization of Two hundredyearsμ and Chinese dreamμ.
