Study On Seasonal Model Of Time Charter And Voyage Charter In International Dry Bulk Transportation

This paper studies on the seasonal model of voyage charter freight rate and time charter freight rate for international dry and bulk shipping market. This seasonal model covers three branch markets (Handysize, Panamax and capesize) party time (sight, one year and three-year time charter party) of international dry and bulk shipping market. The conclusion of this paper is so meaningful to the operationer and invester of shipping firms that they can confirm the time of docking, make time charter strategy and operational transferring amoung different shipping markets.Firstly, this paper analyzes the international dry and bulk shipping market and expatiates marketing structures, basic forms, structures and trend of fleets, supply, and ineractional characteristics of supply and demand.Second, it analyzes the fluctuant price character and its reasons. At last, a seasonal model is esteblished for voyage charter freight rate, one-year time charter and three-year time charter to study their seasonal characer, which will be helpful to investors and operationors of shipping enterprises and offer some operational trategies.
