On The Construction Of Civic Political Culture And Harmonious Society

The construction of harmonious socialist society is a major strategic decision our party currently makes conforming to the historical development and change. The harmonious socialist society, featured as democratic and rule of law, equity and justice, honesty and fraternity, vigor, stability and order, harmonious relationship between man and nature, is surely a society with the value orientation of advanced citizen's political culture. Advanced civil political culture is not only the main content of constructing harmonious society, but also an important symbol of realizing harmonious society; it not only provides the harmonious society with the solid idea base and stable political environment, but also supplies behavior standards for citizens'participance in politics. According to the basic characteristics of harmonious socialist society and the current social development situation of China, we believe civil political culture in the process of constructing harmonious socialist society should have the democratic political ideas, political consciousness of the rule of law, tolerant political attitude, strong ability to participate in politics, political identity and political trust. Because the harmonious goal what we are pursuing now doesn't belong to traditional society, but to modern society, the political culture that supports modern harmonious society has the basic characteristics of diversity, harmony, openness and unbalance. The realization of this new type of political culture not only needs that the development of market economy and perfection provide the material base, the reform and perfection of political system provide the institutional guarantee, but also needs that the sublation of civil culture provides new connotation and the cultivation of civil society builds social environment.This text is divided into four chapters:Firstly, citizen's political culture from the perspective of the harmonious society.
