Current China is experiencing a significant period of the Strategic Opportunity, which could also be a crucial social phase characterized with numerous collective actions. The society of China has witnessed a sharp and dramatic increase of collective actions since 2000, especially in 2008. There is no denying that we are and will be living in a society full of collective actions, which shows overwhelming complexity, infection and wreckage or damage to social codes, for a long period. There are a series of factors lying in this social phenomenon for its nation-wide pervasion and a great deal of pertinent researches has been done, providing valuable suggestions. Nevertheless it is far from saying that we have understood collective actions so well that we can cope with it well. The majority would deem collective action as a whole rather than a sophisticated system composed of several sub-types. This thesis criticizes the former views, which do harm to the resolve of collective actions, heavily and create a new theoretic model, which is a system with six sub-types of collective actions. Two necessary dimensions should be implied in analyzing collective actions, which is ignored by former scholars or schools. One dimension is the Objective which is a view of the core motivation or pursuit, while the other is the Method that refers to the process of energy release. In view of the Objective dimension, collective actions can be classified into the Three Major Types (TMTs), which are the Interest-Oriented (IO) ones, the Rule-Oriented (RO) ones and the Moral-Oriented (MO) ones. Respectively, Interest, rule and moral are the core motivations in Three Major Types (3MT). As is to the Method dimension, collective actions fall into two types, the Violent ones and the Peaceful ones. All the Three Major Types have two directions. If there are Stimulative Factors (SFs), each type of collective actions is bonded to be a violent one. And it is liable to be a peaceful one if Buffering Factors (BFs) exist. The stimulative factors mean a series of factors which propel the collective action into a violent collision. Meanwhile, the buffering factors refer to the agents that act as a bumper to render the two sides calm down and seek to peaceful or rational behaviors. The system of collective actions has been structured on the base of all the work done before in this thesis. The system embraces six sub-types of collective actions, which are the Violent Interest-Oriented (VIO) ones, the Peaceful Interest-Oriented (PIO) ones, the Violent Rule-Oriented (VRO) ones, the Peaceful Rule-Oriented (PRO) ones, the Violent Moral-Oriented (VMO)ones, the Peaceful Moral -Oriented (PMO) .The Integration or Mobilization Mechanisms (IMMs) play an essential role in various collective actions. Each one has integrated and mobilized hundreds or thousands of people who are induced or persuaded into taking part in. Interest and value are the two patterns of the integration or mobilization mechanisms. The Interest Pattern (IP) means people participate into a collective action because they can, to a certain extent, gain interest, while the Value Pattern (VP) demonstrates that people initiate, organize or support the collective action because they share the cherished universal values, such as justice and equity, and these precious values now is being destructed or undermined so they launch or play a part in a collective action to protect or restore these commonly recognized faiths or morals. We can find some laws of relationships among the TMTs, which pave the way for the transformation between them and provide logic foundation for this process. From IO to RO and from RO to MO, a tendency of a declined integration or mobilization mechanism of interest pattern, and, as a complementary interactive support, the value pattern is playing an increasingly important role. Either the value or the interest unites people together strongly and firmly to make collective actions. This paper attaches most importance to six sub-types, the system of collective types, the interactive relationships and the IMMs. The four aspects constitute the structure and should be elaborated and exemplified in great details. Only in this way can we know each type of collective actions exactly and accurately, and it is the very beginning of talking about how to deal with collective actions effectively and scientifically.
