Research On Beijing Citizen's Ethical Construction From The View Of World City

Building Beijing as world city is a new target of Beijing municipal government based on global horizon, great foresight and sense of historical mission. It brings the new opportunity and high requirement for Beijing citizen's ethical construction. The degree of citizen's ethical construction stands for level of civilization in a society and a period of time, is an important prerequisite and guarantee for building the world cities. The Paper sets Beijing citizen's ethical construction under the view of world city as the object, and focus on the following issues:The first chapter is general introduction, mainly put forward background and significance of selecting the topic, and establish the paper's research content and method based on analysis of situation of national and international research achievement. The second chapter makes study the related issues of world city. Building world city is a large and complex system which is involved in economic, politics, culture and other field. This paper systematically formulate the concept, connotation, evaluation criteria of world city with Chinese characteristics, based on the domestic and international expert's latest achievements of world city. Also, according to the standard, requirement of world city, combining existing Beijing citizen's ethical evaluation system, paper puts forward new ethical evaluation system of Beijing.The third chapter makes study on the practice of Beijing citizen's ethical construction since the reform and opening-up of China, especially on the great experience and achievement in Beijing's a series of major activities such as"Welcome Olympics"in this century. Meanwhile, it also makes analysis on the existing problem in the process of Beijing citizen's ethical construction.The fourth chapter puts forward the new idea of strengthening Beijing citizen's ethical construction under the view of world city. At the beginning, paper sets New York, the international developed world city as an example; makes research on the significance of improvement of Citizen's public morality and quality; inquires into international advanced experience; and provides the guide for build Beijing as a world city. And then, if taking world city as benchmark, the connotation and concept of citizen's ethical must be improved and perfected. In order to achieve this goal, following tasks should be implemented: the key point of great strengthening publicity and education of citizen's ethical is based on the socialist core value system, and enhances studying the Chinese traditional morality. According to the complicated structure of Beijing citizen, Beijing municipal government should conduct morality education by category and pertinence, form a tightly integration and healthy two way system based on vocational education, community education, township education, and increase building the citizen's school, focus on education children of Beijing Rural Migrant Workers. It also should study from the advanced world city, widely develop activity of volunteer service, and greatly spread taking volunteer service as carrier of cultural and ethical standards of the general public construction. Finally, this paper brings forward innovation and probes the mechanics of citizen's ethical construction under the view of world city.
