Since 1990s, a few remarkable battles in local wars have gradually revealed some features of information warfare. The most intense competition on the stage of the world military is not only the competition of the comprehensive national strength but also the competition of the military personnel. Military academies are greatly responsible for training modern military personnel demanded to construct information forces and to win information wars. Therefore, the top priority in training military personnel is to strengthen the construction of incentive mechanism for instructors in military academies, and meanwhile to enhance their dedication and responsibility. With the development of the society and the changes in historical conditions, to some extent, instructors in military academies have also changed their ideas, code of conduct, mental state, and value orientation. However, some traditional military management theory and incentive mechanism of military academies can not meet the needs of the new situation in the new era, and has seriously affected the construction and development of military institutions and personnel training. Thus, it has become urgent to address and solve the problems of the incentive mechanism in the current construction of military academies.Based on the above, this thesis gives a brief introduction about the incentive mechanism for the instructors in the military academies and points out the problems of the current incentives. On the basis of the related theory at home and abroad and the real situation of military academies in Xi'an, the thesis tries to set up a mode of incentive mechanism for the instructors in military academies and proposes some hypotheses. According to the questionnaire for the instructors in six military academies in Xi'an, with the help of statistical software SPSS17.0, the thesis tests the collected data from the aspects of reliability and validity, conducts descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis, and verifies the model and the hypotheses. Then the thesis draws conclusions as follows: In the incentive mechanism for the instructors in the military academies, the need for achievement and job satisfaction can directly influence the commitment in the workplace; The need for belonging and achievement can also directly affect job satisfaction; At the same time, the incentive mechanism can also be influenced greatly by the instructors' personal characteristics (including gender, age, work position, work experience, income, working life and cultural values). Finally, according to the results of data analysis, the thesis analyzes the problems in the existing incentive mechanism, and proposes how to further improve the incentive mechanism for the instructors in military academies based on the premise of insisting on the purpose and the nature of the people's army.
