Investigation And Study Of The Youth Migrant Workers' Living Conditions In Qingdao Economic And Technological Development Area

With the rapid development of the economy in Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Area ("Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Area" is abbreviated to "QETDA" in the following part.), a large number of migrant persons come to QETDA to find jobs in recent years. Migrant workers have made important contributions to QETDA, and they have become an important member of the big family of QETDA. The majority of migrant workers are the young people in age 18-35.In order to thoroughly know the basic living conditions of the youth migrant workers nowadays, deeply research the major problems in their working, living, learning, friends making and other aspects, further grasp their thoughts and development needs, gave bases and measures to the Government for serving and managing this special group better, my team and I mainly use sending questionnaires to obtain first-hand information, and make in-depth investigation and research of the youth migrant workers in QETDA nowadays, combining with practice in the Youth League Committee work position.The Paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter briefly introducing the composition of the youth migrant workers, the conditions of their working, living, communicating, learning and training, the troubles they meet in finding jobs and vindicating rights, and the actualities of their thinking and perception; the second chapter mainly analyzing and comparing the problems of the youth migrant workers, and studying the primary matters of the Government in managing the youth migrant workers, realizing their development trend and the experiences that Government can use for reference in managing and servicing; the third chapter mainly introducing the theories and successful experience of domestic and foreign governments in managing and servicing the migrant workers, and making a brief analysis combined with reality; the last chapter through the experience of QETDA government in managing the youth migrant workers, concluding and extracting the suggestions for Chinese governments in managing, servicing the youth migrant workers:Firstly, how the Government strengthen management of youth migrant workers. The Government can realize it through establishing Youth Migrant Workers Committee, reinforcing connection and cooperation of relevant departments of the government, and managing them thoroughly; establishing and improving the working system, strengthening the institution building of their employment obtaining, children's school entering, rights protection, housing, entrepreneurship and so on, and further optimizing the environment of job finding and employment obtaining for youth migrant workers; improving their living conditions, perfecting the multi-level housing security system, centralized managing them, forming a standard and orderly living environment, etc.Secondly, how the Government carry out the work of youth migrant workers actively and effectively. The Government can take measures such as allocating special funds to support Youth Migrant Workers Committee; strengthening and improving the work of vindicating rights to protect their legitimate rights; providing learning and training opportunities for the youth migrant workers to satisfy the development needs of themselves; creating well atmosphere to rich their amateur lives, etc.Thirdly, how the Government serve the youth migrant workers better. It can be put into practice by creating a service brand to innovate the management of the youth migrant workers; contacting them initiatively to ask their demands, holding activities to provide services, accelerating economic and social development by servicing them; fostering the backbone of the youth migrant workers, driving and influencing the general youth migrant workers by using them; assisting governments to manage the youth migrant workers; giving the youth migrant workers chances to take part in volunteers; identifying the service for youth migrant workers to provide their development; resolving the issues of their children's education and children left behind properly to lift their worries, etc.
