Research On The Impact Of Confucianism On Korean Moral Education

Confucian doctrine was founded by Confucius, a well-known thinker, politician and educator in ancient china. Series of ethical guidelines and norms contained in Confucian doctrine has got across times and national boundaries, and constituted the basis of traditional Chinese culture and has made a significant contribution to the progress of human civilization. South Korea, our close neighbor, has been deeply affected by Confucian culture in many fields of politics, economics and cultures during the long historical process. Confucian culture and its values have become important factors in Korean ethos, and especially have great impact on Korean moral education.The impact of Confucianism on Korean moral education is made further research in this paper. The paper is divided into five parts. Firstly, the background, purpose and significance of this paper are introduced, the related research situation at home and abroad is analyzed, the formation, development of Confucianism and connotation of moral education are briefly introduced and then innovations of this paper are also described. Secondly, the core areas and the spiritual essence of Confucianism are analyzed. Thirdly, according to Cui Yongcheng's idea, the development process of Confucianism is discussed in detail on the basis of its five stages of introduction, heyday phase, orgasmic phase, retention phase and modern phase. Fourthly, moral eduction status of Confucianism to preschool children, students in primary and secondary schools, unversity students and citizens is discussed. Finally, this paper results in overall penetration of Confucianism into South Korean moral education,studies moral education fuction of Confucianism on schools of South Korea, moral impact of Confucianism on South Korean enterprises and influence of Confucianism on nurturing national spirit.
