The Analysis Of The Highway Transportation's Impact On National Economy

As the important part of transportation system, highway transportation is playing more and more role in our economic life. It has powerful pass ability, high speed, and flexible advantage, which greatly improve and abundant the ability and content of communication. Especially Since the middle period of the 1950', generous construction of the expressway and the rising of container transportation make the highway transportation main force not only in passenger transportation, but also in freight transportation. And highway communication is also one of the important sign which represents the society and economy development of one country or region.Firstly, this paper introduces the construction situation in the near period of highway communication of our country, and the change in passenger transportation and freight transportation. At the same time, it analyzes the highway transportation's characteristic and its position and function in comprehensive transportation system and national economy.Then, on the basis of economic development theory and transportation economy theory, this paper has defined the intension of economic development and the major indicators of economic development, and made qualitative analysis about the positive impact of the highway communication in such respects as economic growth , industry structure, foreign trade , development of resources and city key radiation function ,etc.In order to analyze the specific impact on the economy development. We made six indexes to weigh the impact by investment of highway. The six indexes are GDP, quantity of employment, government revenue, growth of trade, income of residents and consuming of residents. Through Input and output model, and with the program'analyze about the economic impact of highway transportation', which is written on the basis of this model theory, we can get the influence of the highway investment on the six indexes. We also give the Jingzhu Highway Hubei sect as a case. Though quantity analysis about the influence brought to Hubei economy, we can draw a conclusion that the investment of highway have big impact on highwaytransportation development, and build positive "push-draw" relation between highway transportation and national economy.Though the combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, we can draw a conclusion as follows: The growth of national economy and the development of highway transportation influence each other, there is a sort of "push-draw" relation between them. The national economy development puts forward the demand for the highway communication objectively. At the same time, the highway transportation implements effective supply for the national economy development. Just because of the "push-draw" function between highway transportation and national economy, the former then produces circulation influence to the latter. Among them, it is most obvious to build the first round of impetus to national economic development in highway communication, whose result is far greater than the impetus of every one thereafter.
