The Study On Quality Management Information System For Beijing Elcoteq Electronics Company

With the development of economic globalization, the marketing with the quality focus is more and more competitive. The quality concept is developed from confirmative quality, applicable quality and satisfied quality to superexcellent quality. In order to be the leader in the same industry, the enterprise should be focus on the continuous improvement and the quality management information system(QMIS) is one of the factor to reach the success. The main function of QMIS is information storing, data maintenance, information querying and report outputting.This paper based on QMIS in Beijing Elcoteq Electronics Co.,Ltd.(BEE) and studied how the enterprise to develop and apply the QMIS with their advantage. Firstly, the concept, history and development method of QMIS were introduced. Secondly, the quality management history and the quality information status in different quality phase were discussed in this paper. Thirdly, the QMIS structure and information flow were discussed and the subsystem of the QMIS was described.The author designed and developed QMIS after analyzing BEE quality management information status. The QMIS in BEE includes six subsystem such as Quality record database, Quality reporting system, Production Serving Material System, Top Issue Administration, SPC software and Cost of Poor Quality. The PSMS and TIA subsystem were transferred from the other Elcoteq company. The function, advantage, disadvantage and application value of these six subsystem were discussed. At the end of this paper, the QMIS application effect in BEE was forecasted and experience was discussed. Finally, the developing trend on QMIS was put forward.
