With the trend of Globalization, enterprises are facing the competities much higher than before. Material management is the core of an enterprise's management. In China, the material management methods are extremely outdated with low efficiency. This leads to over inventory and expensive cost. By improving the material management level in a company it will have an important impact and create economical benefits. But the advanced management modes and methods in developed western countries is not entirely suitable for Chinese enterprises. So, it is essential that we research a type of material management mode based on our unique national conditions. At present, there are local research being conducted, but this is focused mainly for large-sized enterprises or Thirdy-Party Logistics fewer for mid-sized or samll enterprises. This paper provides a brief introduction of material management and MRP. It also analyzes the current situation of material management in CQHD company, providing a real case scenario. It presents the existing problems of material management method. These existing problems, such as complicated management process, outdated measures in practice and so on, have a bad effect on the benefit and reputation of the company. Lastly is the solution plan and improvement actions. In this part, this paper offers classification for inventory material after ABC analysis, applies the mathematical model of EOQ in the inventory control on the basis of CQHD company, and calculates the main parameter of the A, B class material for inventory control, material requirement planning(MRP), as well as other new technologies and method used in the material management. |
