There is full of opportunities and challenges in the 21st century .With the much use of IT and the booming of high technology enterprise,the global knowledge economy era is coming. So the way of knowledge working , which is creative,easily changing and unforseeing, will be prevailing this era.At the same time , human capital will be the key competitive fountain of high technology enterprise.But all of those should depend on the knowledge workers. So how to efficiently motivate the knowledge worker bocomes the emphasis of human resource management in high technology enterprise, where a good incentive mechanism will be needed.On the base of much reading works and articles that refer to human capital motivation and knowledge worker management ,I will discuss these content as follows:1. First discuss the definition of knowledge enterprise ,high technology enterprise and knowledge worker .Analyse the characteristics of knowledge enterprise and knowledge worker.In addition , discuss the difference between knowledge worker and common worker .2. On the base of research hypothesis.discuss the individual need of knowledge worker and the necessity of an efficient incentive mechanism for knowledge worker .3. Discuss the utility function and risk characteristic of the knowledge worker.And based of these,point out the market performance and human capital standards , which decide the payment of knowledge worker.4. Analyse the structure of knowledge workers' behaviour motive and build theincentive model for knowledge worker in high technology enterprise.5. Finally contrast abroad incentive factors of knowledge worker with domestic ones and put up the incentive structural model for knowledge worker in China .Draw a conclusion that now in China external incentive mechanism (such as payment with money, enterprise culture motivation, job-redesigning motivation) will be the main method to motivate knowledge worker. On the other side ,with the developing of society and economy, internal incentive mechanism (such as work achievements motivation) will gradually become the most improtant one.
