The trust protection principle originated in Germany, through several decades' development, it has become an important principle of administrative law in many countries. But this principle is seldom seen in Chinese administrative law now. In order to maintain public's trust on the government, protect the opposite persons' legitimate rights and interests, develop trustworthiness society, promote healthy and sustainable development of economy, Chinese administrative law should introduce and make reasonable use of this principle. The trust protection principle should be the same rank with the principle of administration by law, it should be a fundamental principle of Chinese administrative law. The trust protection principle is embodied in such fields as revocation of administrative act, the administrative regulations, the administrative promise and the administrative guidance. It is of great importance in these fields. Our country should carry out it completely in constituting <> , and establish system of administrative precedent and system of judicial review to carry out this principle, which will promote our rule of administrative law to a higher degree.
