| With the vigorous development of tourism and upgrade of tourist demands, the competition among tourist cities has transferred from tourist products to brands, from traditional tourist resorts to the whole regional tourism image. Therefore, it is time to put the strategy of city tourism image into practice and setup the scientific tourism image identity system.Based on the study of pioneers and the theory of tourism, tourism geography and marketing etc, the author discusses general principles and concrete methods of city tourism image design and sets up city tourism image identity system. Finally, the author takes Xi'an for an example to design the city tourism image by applying the theory in practice.The primary contents are outlined as follows:Part one: makes a systematic exposition on the origin and development of foreign and domestic study on city tourism image. And then discusses the relative subjects and the formation system of it.Part two: analyses the concept, importance and principles of city tourism image design; constitutes the frame and amplifies the concrete contents which is involved in. Besides, puts forward some valuable suggestions to solve problems in the process of designing.Part three: takes Xi'an city for an example to design the city tourism image with the theory mentioned above.New ideas in this thesis:(1) Comprehensively summarizes the relative theory and makes ascientific definition of city tourism image design for the first time.(2) Firstly puts forward the frame of city tourism identity system which is based on GI (Geography Image), HI (Humanism Image), MI (Mind Image), BI (Behavior Image) and VI (Visual Image).(3)By analyzing the characteristics of tourist resources and investigation among tourists, the author makes a feasible way to design the tourism image of Xi'an city with new ideas. |
