| After our country joining World Trade Organization (WTO) formally in 2001, the Logistics related field will be open in all sides according to the stipulations of agreement in 2006 at least. That means International Logistics, the service field just started in our country, will face the fiercer competitions. Facing the opportunities and challenges of joining WTO, how will the International Logistics of our country develop, which is the economic problem of development that must be solved.The studying object of this paper is the International Logistics development of China. When after expatiating about the theory and the business operation of the International Logistics, the actualities and countermeasures of China' International Logistics are analyzed and discussed. Through which, some advices are hoped to give on the development of the International Logistics in China. If it comes into reality, I will be happy.The exordium introduces the background and research significance of this thesis. Since the reformation, Chinese economy has been mixed with the world more and more closely. The approaches of foreign capital require us to provide with more convenient, timelier, lower cost and high efficient logistics system to guarantee multinational production and marketing services. In the mean time, the development of information and technology and the E-Business era have brought new directions to the International Logistics,such as information, automation, meshwork, intelligence and pliancy. However, the logistics development of our country is difficult to suit the requirements of E-Business. And in the recent years, the quick international trade developments of our country appeal to the guarantee of the efficient International Logistics. Under such circumstance, with the promises of entry to WTO, it is provided with significances in the fields of theory and reality to develop the International Logistics positively and participate into the international competition effectively.The second section of the thesis dissertates on the basic theory of the International Logistics. The differences of International Trade Business make different implications of International Logistics, including broad and narrow senses. Here is its narrow sense—international trade logistics. International Logistics is not only the opposite and extending ones of the domestic but also the enlarged article circulation over the country, so it is also called the large international logistics, which is modern logistics developed with international trade and international production. Though the International Logistics concerned two countries (areas) above has more factors to consider, the theory of it comes from the domestic logistics. The meaning of logistic applied to business after WWⅡ came from military affairs, and its theory foundation is economics. Logistics is the need of market economy development, as a kind of merchandise, which has its own change of supply and demand. And the International Logistics together with international trade, as the coupling of world countries' economic contractions, has composed the two indispensable sides of international economy, on one hand, international trade is the certain result of international economy developments, on the other hand, international logistics ensure international trade come into reality. The International logistics services for the international operation and the foreign trade, whose developments face three barriers including market and competition, financial barriers and distribution channels. Only these barriers were worked out, the actual benefits could be gotten through the successful international operation. The development of world economy is the direct result of social labor division and socialized production, which exceeded the national boundaries makes the economic relationship and trade of world countries more and more closely.
