The Legal Protection For Individual Privacy On Internet

Internet, as a linkage of communication and computer, has become the one of the main frames of the GIL The Internet era's coming has changed people's traditional living and life style, brought the new challenge to the protection of the right to privacy. This dissertation has analised the varieties of the invasion of the right to individual privacy under Internet environment and examed the protection practice from foreign counties, then made suggestion related to the legal protection on the right to individual privacy in China Internet. This dissertation consists of five Charpters.Charpter 1 has discussed the conception of the traditional right to privacy and explained the object and sustance of the right to individual privacy in Internet and then, compare these two privacy rights to show the speciality of the latter.Charpter 2 has stated the specific expression of the invasion of the right to individual privacy in Internet, such as disclose user's privacy, deliver junk mails and proclaim other persons' privacy without permission and so forth and has fiirtherly discussed the internal motivation of all kinds of invasion.Charpter 3 has introduced the related protection pattern on how the present international society to protect the right to individual privacy in Internet and discussed two main protection patterns: legislation protection pattern and trade self-discipline pattern through analying the comparatively typical protection systems in U.S and EU.Charpter 4 has inspected the current protection of China laws to the right to individual privacy and explained the development of China Internet, and then concluded in that the legal protection system is under-developed. Charpter 5 has pointed out the existing difficulties and problems which need to be solved urgently after demonstrating the real situation of China Internet privacy right protection and made specific suggestion on setting up legal protection system in China Internet.
