Research Of The Application Of Mobile Agent Technology In Electronic Commerce

With the quick development of the Internet, E-commerce application systems are more and more popular, on-line E-commerce transaction become more and more frequent. Because of rapidly growing information on the Internet, the traditional technique appears unfit to build these systems on the Internet. In traditional E-commerce, each trade activity needs the person's participation. So, the degree of automation is very low. Traditional E-commerce has other shortcoming, such as wasting bandwidth, low efficiency, etc. Mobile agents are an emerging technology that makes it easier to design, implement and maintain distributed systems on the Internet. They have acquired a lot of attention in academy and enterprise during recent years. The technology of mobile agents applied in E-commerce can resolve a series of problem and provide characterizing services to consumers.In this paper, there are introduction, analysis and study of the concepts and technology of agent and mobile agent. A special emphasis has been put in the reasons and advantages of their applications in electronic commerce. Based on the theories above, a model of mobile agent-based E-commerce has been studied and developed. The corresponding commercial courses have also been expounded. At last the challenge and the development trend that the mobile agent technology faces have been discussed.
