It was established on October 1st 1987 after the civil aviation structural reform, and it is the first one of its kind. After 1995, along with the changes of domestic and foreign economic environment, came the fierce competition in the air transportation market. How to enhance the aviation material supply ability, reduce unnecessary delays, cut down maintenance cost and improve maintenance standard, all these factors make aircraft maintenance industry to consider if the traditional operation mode is able to cope with the coming challenges.Under such considerations, CSWA introduced an ERP product Movex Aviation from a Sweden software company Intentia at the beginning of the year 2000. After a secondary development, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System (AMES), which is customized for CSWA, came into being. Its business process oriented theory brings a new mode of management into the aviation maintenance industry. The author has been involved in the three years' development of the CSWA Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System. Starting from the basic theories of BPR and ERP, the author carried out deep research on the developing process of the system, and pointed out the lacks of the system. At the same time, the author suggested the ways of solution. The thesis includes the following parts:The first part: a brief introduction of the background under which the CSWAAircraft Maintenance Engineering System was introduced. The second part: an introduction of the basic theories relevant to the CSWA Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System and BPR and ERP, the relation between BPR and ERP, and matters need attention during CSWA Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System BPR implementation. The third part: a description of the problems of the present business operation process and the analysis to the existing problems, and the rebuilding of certain parts of the operation process based on relevant BPR theories. The fourth part: research on the ways of software selection and function realization of CSWA Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System and problems encountered during the development process, evaluation of the improvement might be achieved by implementing the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System. The fifth part: summary of the experience gained and lessons learned form the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering System development process. The thesis is originated from the CSWA aircraft maintenance engineering project. It gives an overall description of the whole process from the introduction to the success of the implementation of the software system. The thesis is creative in the following three aspects:1. It is the first time to research, analyze and summarize domestic aircraft maintenance business operation process;2. It is the first time to integrate a standard ERP product and implement it in the aircraft maintenance business in an airline;3. It is the first time to research the development and implementation process of ERP product in aircraft maintenance industry in China. It is the first time to implement ERP system in aircraft maintenance business in an airline in China. The success of the system provides a good reference for the counterparts in civil aviation. The system will surely have good prospect. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | AMES, BPR, ERP, MS | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
